Once upon a time, Amelia Chesley thought it would be useful to have easy-to-access standalone webpages for each chapter of this very excellent book. Because the editors and podcast producer generously used the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license for their work, she was able to make it happen.
Dr. Chesley is currently an Associate Professor of Professional Writing at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where she teaches undergraduate courses in Professional Communication and various fun Humanities subjects (like podcasting). She has recorded a few LibriVox audiobooks over the years. See more about her at her academic web page or via this (slightly out of date) Knowledge Commons profile.
My first steps involved separating each book chapter into separate PDF files and adding custom cover sheets. I then carefully downloaded all of Kyle's podcast audio and started brushing up on my HTML and CSS. After the fun design phase (thinking about colors and typefaces, layouts and heading styles) it was a matter of plugging in all the right links to display properly on the index page, each standalone page, etc.
W3Schools was unfailingly helpful as I figured out all the CSS and scripting for the index and embedded elements. For the "random chapter" link in the footer, I made use of Tony Vincent's "HTML for Random Link" example.
Almost all of the coding and webdesign work was done in Dreamweaver, with a few excurions in Notepad, and then all the final tweaks in Visual Studio Code when my department-funded Adobe CS license ran out over the summer. After exploring various avenues for more official, institutional hosting, I've thrown it together on github for now.
